First European cultural way since October 23rd, 1987, the road of Compostelle knows a craze ceaselessly increasing.
Sainte - Maure's association of local authorities of Touraine is crossed by the way "  turonensis " (way of Tours), in the past the most frequented by the French ways. Its authenticity and its practicability generate a regular growth of its frequenting
If formerly, the pilgrims crossed our part of the country on foot or by waterway, nowadays, it is on foot or in bike that they cross our territory.
The pedestrian route is marked out GR655 by the French Federation of Hike and the cyclist route is the fruit of a topo-guide, become a standard for cyclist pilgrims coming from Benelux.
In ten centuries of passage of pilgrims, tracks in the built and in the spirit are very present in our cities and landscapes.
We propose you a route in 19 remarkable points, allowing you to put your steps or your wheels in those who since thousand years go towards Compostelle.
